I am working my socks off as I must finish my report within tomorrow in order to meet the deadline set. I have printed all the necessary items that are required to fulfill the terms of the report including this online journal. I have also made some changes in my weblog by removing the calendar in my homepage and modifying my navigation links which had some errors.

This week I have done a peer review on Tarab's weblog. I am also working very hard on getting my report done.

This has been a quite a difficult week for me. I could not make any changes to my site as I am suffering from some health problems. The deadline is nearing so I hope I will be able to complete my work in time.

I could not make any further progress on my portfolio due to some disturbances with the theme I selected. As soon as the problem is fixed I will start working on it again as I have to make some improvements to my blog.

This week, I inserted another assessment work. I have also worked on the GIF animator and created some animations which I will insert into my weblog some time next week.

I have decided to focus upon flash animations for my weblog. I am doing some research on it as well. I also plan to insert some GIF animations onto my weblog. This week I have inserted some more pictures and stories into my weblog.

I have found out the importance of allignment for a webpage. It is a very important part. I have also added a few pictures and my portfolio artefacts to my weblog as well as some new links.

1. Describe briefly the metaphor used for this digital portfolio

I think the metaphor that was used was a representation of a body starting with the head, then the arms and then the hands till the legs and feet and then from this part the sub-topics branch out.

2. How effective is the metaphor? Did you understand it immediately?

I was trying to figure out for sometime until I managed to find out that it represented a body. I think this metaphor is a very effective one as it is kept simple and for beginners it will be easy to understand.

3. If you were to choose a metaphor as the framework for your portfolio what could it be?

As a metaphor I would choose a hand. Each finger could represent something while the palm area can represent the framework of my portfolio. Some of the fingers will represent the Achievement in Academics, My personal Life, A reflection on my future and maybe a picture section.

Her categories include about her Personal Background, Work Experiences, Career Goals and about her Academic Demonstration.

2. Briefly comment on the relevance of these

These are very relavent as these are the important things that are needed in a digital portfolio. It shows that a person is very organized. It will be useful to use in a portfolio as people can find it more easily and gives a better influence.

3. If you were to choose categories as a framework, what headings would you use?

My categories would include :- My life, My Academic Demonstration, Resume, Photos, Extracurricular, CAS and My goals for the future.

Would her portfolio outline the relevant information about her and will it be up to the standard?

2. How effective is her portfolio layout and content in answering that question?

Her portfolio layout was as same as the previous one except for the font and some changes. From my point of view it looks like it was done quickly without any time or care given for the work.

3. Think of a guiding question that you could use for your portfolio

Would my portfolio include work samples for outsiders to look at and will my presentation be good?

1. What headings are used within the standards framework?

The headings used within the standards frameworks are:-
Academics such as English language arts, mathematics science etc. ANother one is about Cross-Cutting Competencies . This involves Information use and the Ability to work with the others.

2. Describe the sort of material the student is using to meet those standards?

The materials this student has used is mostly the work standerds. It is a very incomplete portfolio as he has given to no worksamples in his portfolio.

3. What other comments can you make?

His portfolio is a very bland one not many colours there. It is a simple one and not many work samples are given. He talks only about the performance standards. I did not like his portfolio much.

4. What standards or areas found in the MYP program would you consider using for a portfolio framework?

According to MYP standards i thought his digital portfolio was pretty bad as it did not inlude any work samples and his presentaion was not upto the standard.
